April 8th, 2014

The Lantana team recently exhibited at the ACUTA Annual Conference 2014 in Dallas. There was a lot of really good information on IT solutions for education leaders. We’re excited to see that education decision-makers are seeing the importance of having up-to-date IT solutions. Students now often take tests online, student records have been digitized, and tablets in the classroom and video conferencing capabilities are giving students and teachers greater access to information and more options in how classes can be taught.

Big data is already a major buzzword in the corporate world. And now, leaders at schools and universities are looking for ways to make it work for them. In this video Jose Ferreira, CEO of Knewton, shares his vision for a future where every student receives a truly personalized curriculum best suited to his or her needs. Knewton collects millions of data points about student users in order to provide them with more effective timing and content to enhance learning.
