Senior Voice Systems Engineer
Location: Arlington, TX (Not a remote only position)

• Assist with Tier I & II support of voice system issues as: PBX, Intuity, and CMS, troubleshooting, and analyzing system events. Assist with moves, adds and changes to including remote agents, programming, design, routing and ongoing support. Assist with administering Avaya devconnect programs and adjunct platforms.
• Architects, implements, supports and provides oversight for the telephony infrastructure including: Avaya CM, SIP, Session Border controllers, IVR, Session Manager, VoIP, CMS, Dialer solutions, Call Accounting, call recording, and various Call Center applications
• Execute project work during service interruptions with minimal supervision. This includes managing vendors and communicating status to the customer stakeholders
• Perform such duties as pre-configuration of Avaya servers, customer database conversions, systems installations, and tier 3 level troubleshooting.
• Provide installation and maintenance support which requires an in depth understanding of ARS Routing, Uniform Dial-Plan, DS1 and ISDN programming, Definity features, S8XXX server deployment in a converged environment, and SIP Protocol.
• Actively manage support ticket queues including appropriate updates
• Mentor and provide direction for other team members as needed


• Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal and customer service skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Expert knowledge of Avaya Communication Manager
• Expert knowledge of Avaya Session Manager and System Manager
• Expert knowledge of SIP and VoIP protocols
• Avaya certifications are not required but a plus
• Experience with Linux, UNIX, and Windows is required
• VMware experience is a plus but not required
• Advanced knowledge of Avaya server-based systems and data networking
• Ability to perform advance programming activities such as: Multi-Site Networking, Q-Sig Integration, Call Center Programming (CMS, BCMS, Vectoring), Third-Party Application Integration
• In-depth knowledge of IP Routing, Quality of Service technologies with demonstrated implementation in a large enterprise organization
• Capable of project managing complex technical projects, and communicating status to stakeholders, internal customers and leadership
• Experience with networking protocols and components within a corporate LAN/WAN is required
