NTSP Finds the Right Combination of Functionality and Price with Lantana
North Texas Specialty Physicians Chooses Lantana Communications to Update Their Antiquated Phone System

We met with customer North Texas Specialty Physicians (NTSP) to find out more about their latest installation with Lantana Communications.

LC: What does your company do?
North Texas Specialty Physicians: We are an independent physicians company. We offer family and specialty physician needs to the residents of DFW.

LC: What is your job title/focus?
North Texas Specialty Physicians: Telecom manager

LC: What was the initial business challenge that led you to upgrading your communications system?
North Texas Specialty Physicians: Our previous phone system lacked proper call center routing and call center reporting tools. Phones would drop calls and disconnect without warning. Voicemail access and retrieval issues were a constant concern.

LC: What are some of the frustrations with your old system?
North Texas Specialty Physicians: The system was antiquated, lacked in call center routing functionality, lacked in reporting needs, outbound dialing and IVR needs and had no IP functionality. The old system had limited and/or no integration with 3rd party applications, CRMs, salesforce.com, etc.

LC: Can you describe the process of choosing the new solution? What was your main focus?
North Texas Specialty Physicians: It was a combination of feature functionality, reliability, company reputation and service levels and price.

LC: What are the three biggest problems that the solution is helping you solve?
North Texas Specialty Physicians: The IP office and fusion call center application provides better reporting and call center management tools. Its IP capabilities allow for more flexibility within our organizations and with deploying mobile users. This system allows for CTI integration with 3rd party applications and CRMs. The system has helped strategically automate parts of our business and focus on providing better customer service.

LC: Do you have any positive feedback dealing with the system’s features?
North Texas Specialty Physicians: The project team has been very responsive to the moving targets of this installation. They have gone above and beyond in dealing with and helping resolve issues that were not presented to them during the discovery and installation phase.

LC: What would you say to a company like yours going through the same issues? Any advice?<
North Texas Specialty Physicians: Do your research and plan an effective discovery. Here there was little understanding of how the previous system was designed and how it actually worked.

Stay tuned for more from our satisfied clients!

The real advantage of the multi-specialty, comprehensive approach embraced at North Houston Specialty Physicians is that it provides a simpler, more efficient medical process for patients without the need to visit more than one location. This approach is especially important given the overlap and synergy between the specialties of the physicians.
